The Norristown Police Department confiscated drug paraphernalia from the Smoke Tobacco Outlet Inc. located at 614 West Marshall St. on Monday. Owner Dharmesh Patel has charges filed against him and will be issued a summons for court. Det. “I’m very angry about situations like this because Mr. Patel, who purports to be a legitimate businessman here in Norristown, doesn’t even live in Norristown, he’s from New Jersey,” the chief said. “He doesn’t demonstrate to me that he cares anything about Norristown other than to further the drug trade.
