Four arrested in diesel-powered marijuana grow farm, BC
HOPE, B.C. – RCMP detectives arrested and charged four unnamed suspects and are looking for a fifth in a raid on a massive export-oriented commercial marijuana grow operation at a large rural property in Hope B.C. The busted farm masqueraded as a regular plant nursery comprising 11 greenhouses containing 6,496 marijuana plants heated by six high capacity diesel generators to reduce and disguise the measured costs of electricity.
This amounts to a yield of 1,218 lbs or a little more than half a ton which is hard to unload and traffic on the local market, say cops.
