20th annual Buffalo Car Show winners are announced

A total of 75 cars, trucks and motorcycles were presented Saturday at the Salon of Dallas County's 20th annual drive, held Saturday at the Eagle machine shop in Buffalo. Sponsor of the event was the Car Club Dallas County.

Charles Stark, president of the club, said club members were happy to participate. Proceeds from the event will be donated to charity. Stark said about $ 1500 will be presented with a lot of it going to Heart Heart Ministries 2.

He said people came from the longest distance of the event were family Shipley, Adrian. They won $ 50, but he donated back to the club.

Car show winners were as follows:

Class 1: 1900-1950 Original Cars

First, John MacGowan, Fair Grove, 1940 Ford Deluxe; Second, Jim Kendzora, Climax Springs, 1930 Chevy Roadster; Third, Otis Morgan, Fair Play, 1950 Ford 2-door custom.

Class 2: 1951-1965 Original Cars

First, Jack Brumley, Tuscumbia, 1957 Ford Fairlane 500; Second, Morris McGregor, Buffalo, 1952 Chevy Deluxe; Third, Page Pukett, Wheatland, 1957 Chevy Bel Air.

Class 3: 1966-1990 original cars

First, Joyce Brumley, Tuscumbia, 1971 Dodge Charger; Second, Alan Ratliff, Springfield, 1973 Javelin AMX; Third, Greg Armstrong, Buffalo, 1967 Oldsmobile Cutless.

Class 4: 1900-1940 road cars from the street

First, Joe and Shirley Cockran, Hermitage, 1932 Chevy Sedan, 2 doors, second, and Wayne Alexander Braden, Richland, 1934 Ford Phaeton, third, Ernie and Charlotte DaMitz, Cross Timbers, 1938 Chevy Tudor Sedan.

Class 5: 1900-1950 modified cars

First, Larry Rice, 1929 Ford Deluxe Delivery.

Class 6: 1951-1965 Modified Cars

First, Harry Wilkinson, 1955 Chevy Bel-Air; Second, Ray Bolin, Long Lane, 1957 Chevy Bel-Air; Third, Shorty Hampton, Wheatland, 1958 Ford Ranchero.

Class 7: 1966-1990 Modified Cars.

First, Jeff Miller, Hermitage, 1968 Chevy Camaro SS; Second, Leon Spence, Tunas, 1967 Ford Mustang; Third, Don Trantham, Elkland, 1972 Chevy Nova.

Class 8: 1991-Present Modified Cars

First, William Fervette, Sunrise Beach, 2009 Mustang GT convertible; Second, Eric Rogers, 2000 Chevy Camaro; Third, Derek Smith, 2009 Dodge Challenger.

Class 9: 1900-1950 Original Trucks

First, Terry Clendening, 1950 Chevy Pickup; Second, Rick McAllister, Dunnegan, 1947 Ford Pickup.

Class 10: Youngest Show Car Owner

Tracy Spears

Class 11: Work-in progress, Car or Truck
