UFC applies for October 29 event in Las Vegas, expected to serve as UFC 137

St-Pierre carries an impressive nine-fight win streak into UFC 137 and has dropped just one fight, an April 2007 championship upset to Matt Serra, in his past 16 outings. He's cleaned out most of the welterweight division and had been targeted for a potential superfight with middleweight champ Anderson Silva before officials turned their focus to Diaz. To give up his belt he needed great incentive...fighting a top 3-5 guy is not it.  If Diaz were to lose to a top 3-5 guy his stock would be worth way less.  Because of the steep talent at the top of ww, them having great wrestling and diaz's wreckless fighting style, the chance of him losing is enough to worry about.  Dana guarantees a huge ppv this way.  To put on an exciting ww title defense is def down the priority list. Nope, not saying that.  You had said the reasoning behind Nick getting an immediate title shot is to make an exciting fight.  I am saying that I think that is part of it but a lesser a priority.  To entice Nick to give up his belt he gave him an immediate title shot.  I also think Dana does not want to risk Nick fighting a top ww and possibly losing.  Him fighting top talent, wrestlers and his fighting style make that a possibility...so why not avoid it.  His ppv numbers would drop big time if he lost as his stock is sky high (no pun intended) right now.  Sherk, Noons. i mean easily beaten doesn't mean quick finish, you can dominate a guy and it will considered easily beat, like GSP did to Hardy. I think Diaz may have a shot off his back but i doubt his striking, he keeps doing that stupid move where he hang his head up front not covering to taunt his opponent, like with daley and Cyborg, that will just won't work with GSP, GSP has a strong jab, i just see Diaz being the next Koscheck. He doesn't eat jabs because the cans he fights aren't that skilled/technical.  He sticks his chin out and got rocked by Cybord and a couple times by Daley.  He was saying IF Diaz sticks his chin out GSP is gonna land a jab on him every time.  The later the fight goes the more it favors GSP.  The only shot Diaz has is winning by flash knockout which is highly doubful since he hasn't fought anyone as technical as GSP.  I don't even think he has a shot in hell at submittting him based on all the work GSP has been doing with John Danaher and Renzo Gracie plus the fact that if its on the ground it will be GSP on top and he has a significant strength advantage.

DevilfishPoker.com launches 32-Card Draw and Caribbean Stud

Dublin, Ireland (PRWEB) November 14, 2008

DevilfishPoker.com today announces the launch of two exciting new poker games ― 32 Card Draw and Caribbean Stud®.

32-Card Draw poker, sometimes called “stripped-deck”, is a 5-card draw variant played with all the lower cards removed. Playing with only the top half of the deck (7-A) means players are dealt big hands consistently making for a skillful, action-packed game.

Four of a kind and full houses are commonplace while the option to offer a split pot after players’ have drawn their cards adds a sophisticated bluffing tool which can lure opponents into betting with the worst hand. 32-Card Draw has a large following in the rapidly growing Italian online poker market.

Caribbean Stud® poker is an extremely popular casino table game played against the house with rules similar to 5-card stud poker.

Log on to DevilfishPoker.com for a full overview of the rules and play by visiting the lobby and clicking on “32-Draw” or “Caribbean”.

As well as the introduction of 32-Card Draw and Caribbean Stud® poker the poker client upgrade brings a host of new features to DevilfishPoker.com including highlighted betting buttons and a graphic countdown timer.
