School Ski Trips Operator Features New Waterville Valley Hotel
(PRWeb UK) March 9, 2011
Activ4 are a leading educational travel tour operator arranging school trips and sports tours for secondary schools, colleges, universities and sports clubs throughout the UK.
One area that has seen a healthy increase in bookings is school skiing holidays. However, whilst Activ4 organise many skiing trips to resorts throughout Europe, the upturn has been in the number of groups travelling to the USA.
It is Activ4’s belief that whilst a trip to the States is more expensive, overall school parties get more for their money. Snow conditions are more reliable and consistent versus Europe, American accommodation standards tend to be higher, eating out is very reasonable, and couple all this with exceptional service and a slightly improved exchange rate, the USA is a very attractive proposition for schools and groups alike.
The resort of Waterville Valley in New Hampshire is where Activ4 is placing a particular focus for the 2012 season, as it is a great resort that really caters well for school groups.
With a picturesque village, Waterville Valley catches the charm of New England like nowhere else. Located in the heart of the White Mountain National Forest its imposing 4000 ft peak soars above the village square. For ski groups the resort really offers something for everyone, 259 ski acres, 52 trails and runs up to 3 miles long that all funnel back into the charming base station area, which is an excellent place to meet up for lunch and at the end of the day.
As for accommodation, Activ4 have added The Valley Inn as a new option for schools to book their stay. With an ideal location near the village centre, residents can easily stroll to shopping and dining. The recently renovated hotel has rooms that are a good size to accommodate the requirements of school groups. There is a games room with pool table, video games and a large dining room. There is also the added bonus of a free shuttle and entrance to the White Mountain Athletic Club for groups wishing to enjoy the large indoor pool.
Steve Scott, Activ4’s Managing Director commented, “Waterville Valley is a fantastic resort that offers so many great things for school groups to see and do. In anticipation of more strong interest and bookings from schools wishing to take skiing groups to this area of the States, we have increased our capacity by adding The Valley Inn Hotel. It will provide our groups with all the luxury, comfort and practicality they need”.
